  1. January in the Himalayas. A chilly but amazing experience. Hari our excellent guide made the trek informative and easy to do as he took each day in bite size chunks that us ‘oldies’ could manage. Lovely and quiet at that time of year so the mountains feel like mountains and not expressways. Incredible scenery. We had wonderful weather. Having a guide made it all very easy and definitely added to the trek. Also ensured we stayed in good tea houses and had plenty of blankets! Hari is a great card player and many an evening was spent with a deck of cards. The description of the Chole Pass being a narrow steep path was an understatement! What an achievement. Thanks guys for a great holiday.
